Our nature is one of the scare resources that we have. Unfortunately, we are going to waste it in the near future if we cannot act on. Expediently, the Project ProFarming targets reversing the current situation and breaking the current cumbersome farming machinery’s limits thanks to the technology we are currently developing.

In today’s environmental circumstances, protecting the nature is our major responsibility to the next generations. However we are going to waste the environmental resources, there are many ways to stop and reverse the loses. One of the ways is the ProFarming solution which targets recuperating valuable resources and increasing efficiency on agricultural processes.

Answer: ProFarming is a precision farming project which upgrades thousands of currently working farming machines to efficient state with very low cost of ownership.

Answer: Windows Embedded CE, .NET Compact Framework, MSSQL Server CE, GPS, Text to Speech, In-Circuit Debugging, MS Visual Studio, MikroC Pro for PIC, ISIS Proteus Professional, SolidWorks, PCB Wizard Pro

Question: Inspiration: What inspired your team to enter the Microsoft Imagine Cup and why did you choose the Embedded Development competition?
Answer: The theme of this year was completely matching with our project, so we applied to the competition. Since we are integrating hardware with software, embedded development competition was the right choice.

Question: Team History: How did your team meet?
Answer: We were sharing the same desk in high school years. Then our universities has been seperated, but our minds never.

Question: Team Experience: What experience did your team have with Embedded Development before competing in the Imagine Cup?
Answer: We were just wondering about what is embedded system!

Question: Highlights: What has been the best part of the Imagine Cup competition to date?
Answer: The opportunity of presenting our invention to the world has always been our best motivation.

Question: Inspiration: How did your team come up with your submission? Include which Millennium Development Goal inspired your solution.
Answer: With the inspiration of "reversing the loss of environmental resources", we have imagined a more inhabitable place for our next generations. Then we worked together to make our dream a reality.

Question: Challenges: What personal or technological challenges did your team face while developing your submission?
Answer: The only challenge we encountered was the time limitation, since we are located on different cities.

Question: Future Plans: What does your team plan on doing after the Worldwide Finals in Cairo, Egypt? Do you plan to use your project to launch a new business?
Answer: After completing the BETA phase, The Project ProFarming will be ready to mass producing. We demonstrate the system on the fairs. This is just a beginning of our projects!
