Question:
Project Overview:
Answer:
Our proposal intends to address one challenge, “Improving education for Women and Children”, focusing specifically on children. Some estimates place the proportion of children suffering some form of learning disability at 10% or 20%. That means tens of thousands of children. It is a known fact that in most cases they go undiagnosed, and thus untreated. The reason for this is the lack of specialists in schools, since every treatment requires professional diagnosis, and then a tailored that may last months. In order to help these children, we created APADYT. This proyect is a set of applications that can support the work of the educational psychologist. It allows organising several therapies simultaneously, and even a therapy from home. This makes report writing easier and establishes a direct line of communication between the doctor and the parents. Thus, the doctor can help and advice without arranging a physical meeting every time.

Question:
Inspiration: How did your team come up with your submission? Include which Millennium Development Goal inspired your solution.
Answer:
When we saw that the Imagine cup theme was the Millennium Development Goal, we thought that, from our point of view, in spite of all of them are very important, "achieve universal primary education" a step further because it can be the foundation to create solutions which achieve the rest of goals. Centred in education, we wanted to find a part of the population that, in spite of having difficulties to receive a satisfactory education, could have access to the new technologies. Inside that big group, we thought about children who needed special education (dyslexics, kids with attention deficit disorder...), whose can be found in every corner of the world. In these cases, it's wellknown that in primary education centers, the qualified personal to treat these problems it's a limited and insufficient resource, and we consider that technologies can help to alleviate this situation. Finally, we wanted to make a realistic proyect, which it could be used in any school and didn't depend from anything infrastructure.
Question:
Challenges: What personal or technological challenges did your team face while developing your submission?
