    Need informations please :s

    Hi everyone,

I would like some informations about marshup. I've installed the Popfly explorer on my Visual Studio Professionnal 2008 Edition and it works fine. I created a sample block and a web service block, but I have questions regarding this last :

    - Why the 'Web Service' block should be written using JavaScript ? By definition, a web service is located on a server, and JavaScript is a client language. Why can't I develop it using C# and then all Frameworks objects ? What is the difference then with the web service block and the simple block if I should code them using Js for both ??

    - What is the purpose of the "web service popfly block" ? Is it only a Web service wrapper ?

    - How can I consume my own web services ? I'd like to call easily one of my asmx file from one block, how can I do that ? For example, the Facebook block provided by Microsoft should in someway ask the facebook's web service, how does it do ?

I was learning and searching a few hours and I feel like "lost" in this technology =/

    Can someone explain me ?

    Hi Gendal,

This not exactly the place where you can get this type of informations. Here we offer significant informations about competition and not this type of info.

Anyway, you can try to get some info from msdn, there is a specific forum  for popfly

    http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/default.aspx?ForumGroupID=434&SiteID=1

I used this many times and helped me a lot.
