Windows CE is a completely different operating system from the Windows XP.

Windows CE OS image is much smaller comparing the Windows XP.

The size for the Windows CE OS image may range from less than 10 MB to 30MB depending on which components are included in the image.

There are multiple Windows Embedded OS. To get more information about Windows Embedded OS, visit the following URL.

Note:  "Windows Embedded Standard" is the new product name for "Windows XP Embedded".

Currently, the latest version of the Windows CE is "Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2".  For the next version of Windows CE, the name will change to "Windows Embedded Compact".
